Cities Around the World
Since the launch of Collaborative San Francisco, interest in the project has been expressed by groups from cities around the world: A group interested in public process in New York is looking at the CSF model for a potential project in New York City An inquiry from the City of Sydney, a sister city to San Francisco, about extending the CSF concept to Sydney was received. A group in City of Salford (in the Greater Manchester Area in the North West of England) which has convened to develop more collaborative approaches to the city's terrible deprivation issues has contacted CSF to explore how this approach can help Salford envision new ways of involving and empowering the people of the city . . . in decision-making, in planning and managing services, facilities and opportunities. A group planning an international conference on citizen participation in the North East of England in January has inquired about a possible link up or input from Collaborative SF into the conference.
